Датский новостной телеканал TV2 News использовал скриншот из игры Assassin's Creed в репортаже о Сирии. Изображение из игры использовалось в качестве заставки, на фоне которой ведущая Сесилия Бек произносила вступительное слово к репортажу.
После того как на скриншот обратили внимание пользователи социальных сетей, глава отдела новостей телеканала Якоб Нибро извинился за допущенную оплошность. Как выяснилось, виноват во всем дизайнер, который наткнулся на скриншот из игры в одном из роликов, размещенных на хостинге видеоизображений YouTube.
На изображении, о котором идет речь, представлена вымышленная версия Дамаска — каким этот город мог бы выглядеть 720 лет назад.
