Гигантское пугало, установленное на двух скрещенных палках, взволновало не только птиц. Верующие жители городка Биллерикай в графстве Эссекс утверждают, что чучело напоминает фигуру распятого Иисуса Христа.
По словам одной из прихожанок местной христианской церкви, она проезжала мимо пугала вместе с маленькой дочкой, и та сказала: «Смотри, мамочка, там человек на кресте». Женщина утверждает, что пугало установлено на «распятии» и что тем самым из ее религии сделали посмешище, пишет Total Essex.
Автор чучела, в свою очередь, говорит, что группа из четырех человек трудилась над его созданием в течение двух дней и что никакого оскорбления чувств верующих лично он здесь не видит.
