В минувший вторник 37-летний опорный полузащитник колумбийского футбольного клуба «Санта-Фе» Херардо Бедойя был удален с поля в матче против команды «Олимпия» из Парагвая. Эта красная карточка стала 43-й в футбольной карьере полузащитника по прозвищу «Генерал».
Игрок является обладателем сомнительного мирового рекорда по количеству красных карточек, полученных за профессиональную карьеру. Впрочем, есть у него и более почетные достижения — например, Кубок Америки, завоеванный вместе со сборной Колумбии в 2001 году, а также три золотые медали, полученные за победу его команд в Чемпионате Колумбии по футболу.
