24-летняя Номуса Сибанда дала своему мужу — 40-летнему Джабулани Нкубе — желудок, ножку и крылышки курицы, а себе взяла грудку и вторую ножку.
За это мужчина ее поколотил, а на следующий день отвел в деревенский суд, где пожаловался перед старейшинами на «бескультурье и невоспитанность» жены. В традиционной зимбабвийской культуре куриные грудка и ножки предназначаются главе семьи.
Нкубе пригрозил Сибанде разводом, если нечто подобное повторится вновь. Женщина, в свою очередь, заявила, что ей надоело готовить курицу и самой не пробовать самые вкусные ее части, пишет Telegraph.
Суд встал на сторону мужчины и приговорил женщину к штрафу в размере одной курицы. Кроме того, порицания удостоилась бабушка Сибанды, которая не научила женщину «правильному обращению с мужем».
