15-летняя жительница города города Харрикейн в штате Юта в течение трех дней не посещала школу, пока цвет ее волос не стал более «естественным». Что поделать — таковы правила.
В начале февраля мать девятиклассницы Райли МакКей отвела ее к стилисту, чтобы тот покрасил волосы девушки в темно-рыжий цвет с примесью коричневого. Однако в минувшую среду Райли пригласил к себе в кабинет заместитель директора и заявил, что на свету волосы девушки отливают розовато-фиолетовым оттенком, тем самым нарушая требования школы к внешнему виду и одежде учащихся. В результате Райли была отправлена домой, сообщает KUTV.
В течение трех дней девушка тщательно мыла волосы, пытаясь смыть краску. Наконец, в понедельник ей разрешили вернуться. Если бы Райли не успела привести цвет своих волос в порядок, ее бы временно исключили из школы.
Согласно правилам учебного заведения, «цвет волос учащихся должен находиться в рамках естественного цветового спектра».
